If we know the virtues of science, would be more eager to learn Islam. If preferment even make a person closer to Allah, blessed by an angel
and make the inhabitants of the heavens, the earth also subject, then it
is so extraordinary virtue.Here we show some of the virtues of religious knowledge:1- The most fear God only knowledgeable peopleIt can be contemplated in paragraph,إنما يخشى الله من عباده العلماء"Surely the fear of God among His servants, just ulama" (QS. Fatir: 28).Ibn Kathir rahimahullah said, "Actually most afraid of God with real fear is the ulama (the learned). Because
the more one knows God the Most Great, the Most Capable, All-Knowing
and He is attributed with nature and the perfect name and the good, and
he knows God is perfect, then it would be to have the nature of fear and
will continue to grow nature of fear. "(Tafsir Al Qur'an Al 'Azhim, 6: 308).The scholars said,من كان بالله اعرف كان لله اخوف"Who is to know God, he is the most God-fearing."2- The virtue of study are included in the following hadith.عن
كثير بن قيس قال كنت جالسا مع أبى الدرداء فى مسجد دمشق فجاءه رجل فقال يا
أبا الدرداء إنى جئتك من مدينة الرسول -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لحديث بلغنى
أنك تحدثه عن رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- ما جئت لحاجة. قال
فإنى سمعت رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يقول «من سلك طريقا يطلب فيه
علما سلك الله به طريقا من طرق الجنة وإن الملائكة لتضع أجنحتها رضا لطالب
العلم وإن العالم ليستغفر له من فى السموات ومن فى الأرض والحيتان فى جوف
الماء وإن فضل العالم على العابد كفضل القمر ليلة البدر على سائر الكواكب وإن العلماء ورثة
الأنبياء وإن الأنبياء لم يورثوا دينارا ولا درهما ورثوا العلم فمن أخذه
أخذ بحظ وافر »Of
Kathir bin Qois, he said, I've sat with Abu Darda 'at Masjid Damasqus,
then comes a man, who then said, "O Abu Ad Darda', I really went out of
town Rasul -shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam (Medina Nabawiyah ) because there is a hadith that have come to me where you were narrated from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. I came for the purpose of obtaining the hadith. Abu
Darda 'and then said, in fact I have heard the Prophet sallallaahu'
alaihi wa sallam said, "Whoever the path to seek knowledge, Allah will
make it easy for him in the way to heaven. Indeed angel wings as a sign of blessing laying on the prosecution of science. Indeed,
the knowledgeable people asked for forgiveness by any inhabitants of
the heavens and the earth, until no fish are in the water. Indeed, the primacy of the knowledgeable than expert worship is like comparing the moon at night full moon of other stars. Indeed, scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. Indeed, the Prophet does not pass dinar nor dirham. Anyone who bequeathed knowledge, then indeed he has gained a large
fortune. "(HR. Abu Dawud no. 3641. Shaykh Al Albani said that this
hadeeth saheeh).And it is very beautiful what is said by Ibn al-Qayyim,ولو لم يكن في العلم الا القرب من رب العالمين والالتحاق بعالم الملائكة
وصحبة الملأ الاعلى لكفى به فضلا وشرفا فكيف وعز الدنيا والآخرة منوط به
ومشروط بحصوله"If
the primacy of science is simply closeness to the Lord of the 'Alamin
(the Lord of the Worlds), associated with the angels, friends with the
sky, then it will be sufficient to explain the virtues of science. Moreover, the glory of this world and hereafter always include those
who have knowledge and with ilmulah requirement to achieve "(Miftah
Daaris Sa'adah, 1: 104).3- The person who dipahamkan religion, is the will of goodness.Of Mu'awiya, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,من يرد الله به خيرا يفقهه فى الدين"Whoever God wants to get around goodness, God will hang him about religion." (HR. Bukhari no. 71 and Muslim no. 1037). What is meant Jurist in the hadith is not just know the law syar'i, but more than that. Told Jurist if one understands the basic monotheism and Islam, as well as with regard to the shari'ah of Allah. As stated by Sheikh Muhammad bin Sholih Al 'Uthaymeen in Kitabul' Ilmi, p. 21.4- It will live on after death.From Abu Hurairah, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,إذا مات الإنسان انقطع عنه عمله إلا من ثلاثة إلا من صدقة جارية أو علم ينتفع به أو ولد صالح يدعو له"If a man dies then terputuslah her charity except from three things; of perpetual alms or science taken advantage or righteous children who pray. "(HR. Muslim no. 1631)5- Science revive the heart as rain fertilizes the soil.Of Abu Musa, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,مثل
ما بعثنى الله به من الهدى والعلم كمثل الغيث الكثير أصاب أرضا, فكان منها
نقية قبلت الماء, فأنبتت الكلأ والعشب الكثير, وكانت منها أجادب أمسكت
الماء, فنفع الله بها الناس, فشربوا وسقوا وزرعوا, وأصابت منها طائفة أخرى,
إنما هى قيعان لا تمسك ماء, ولا تنبت كلأ, فذلك مثل من فقه فى دين الله ونفعه ما بعثنى الله به,
فعلم وعلم, ومثل من لم يرفع بذلك رأسا, ولم يقبل هدى الله الذى أرسلت به"Permisalan guidance and knowledge with which Allah sent me is like Ghaits (the rain of) that on the ground. Then there is good soil, which can absorb water, so grow herbs and grasses that much. Among
these there is also a ajadib land (land that can hold water, but it can
not absorb into it), then by the puddle of God to be beneficial to many
people, so that people can get drinking water from the land. Then people can give drink to livestock and humans can irrigate farm. The third type of soil is qi'an land (land that can not accommodate and can not absorb water). Here permisalan people who understand the religion of God, helpful to him teachings that God sent me to bring it. He knows the teachings of Allah and he taught it to others. And so is a man who did not look up to the revelation, she did not
want to accept that Allah sent me instructions to take him. "(HR.
Bukhari and Muslim).Bukhari brought this hadith in Saheeh book in Chapter "People who are knowledgeable and teaches science". Al-Nawawi brought this hadith in Sahih Muslim in the Chapter
"permisalan guidance and knowledge that God sent the Prophet sallallaahu
'alaihi wa sallam with him".Imam Nawawi -rahimahullah- said,"The
significance and meaning hadith, in which there are permisalan for the
direction of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with al ghoits
(rain is beneficial). Also there is the content in this hadith that the land there are three kinds, as well as humans.The first type is a beneficial soil by the rain. The land became life after death, then he was growing crops. Finally, people can use it, as well as livestock and other crops can be grown on the land.Similarly, the first kind of human being. She instructions and science. He was keeping (memorized), then the heart becomes alive. He also practiced and taught science that he had on others. Finally, science is beneficial for themselves and are also useful for others.The second type is a land that does not bring benefits for himself, but useful for others. These soils hold water so it can be used by others. Humans and animals can benefit from it.
Similarly, the second kind of human being. He has a good memory. However, he did not have an intelligent understanding. He is also less good at digging and legal benefits. He was lacking in diligence in the observance and practice it. Human species has a lot of memorization. When others in need who is really thirsty for knowledge, is also eager to benefit and take advantage for himself; he came over to this kind of human being, so he will take knowledge of people who have a lot of memorizing them. Other people benefit from it, so that she can still give the benefit to others.The third type is the barren land that the plant can not grow on it. This type of land can not absorb water, nor hold them for the benefit of others.Similarly, the third kind of human being. This kind of human being does not have a lot of memorizing, also did not have a good understanding. When he heard, that knowledge does not benefit him. He also can not memorize such knowledge for the benefit of others. "(Sharh Muslim, 15: 47-48)May Allah give guidance to continue the path of science grabbing helpful.
